BALANCE
I am going to start by saying happy new year..happy valentines day...and happy to easter. I hope everyone is on track or in the process of getting on track like myself..LOL.
So I have received lots and lots of requests to write something gearing towards "Relationships" in the past but I was not inspired by anything at the time so did not want to write something generic with no substance just for writing sake...but guess what? I have a good one for yours truly!
Fortunately for us, a cause for a relationship topic came by a few days ago. A friend of a friend of a friend (don't bite your tongue) confided and shared an interesting but disturbing experience with me as she sought for my advice...As she spoke, all that could come to my mind was the term "balance". Please don't ask for details because I can't spill the beans:(
There has also been numerous stories here and there relating to this very topic.
Anyways, Guys! you might hate me for this one but I have to make sure my ladies are on track...so please bear with me.
Lets just say...there were 2 best friends..one named Molly..the other named Dolly..They did everything together and loved each other dearly...one day, Molly met and fell in love with this guy named Danny and abandoned her long built relationship with Dolly, so things got ugly! Got it?
Ladies...ask yourselves this question.."Do I have balance?" And then honestly answer...remember the worst thing that can happen to a person is lying to oneself! So what am I trying to say? Ladies Please please please don't jeopardize your relationship(s) with your girl(s) because you found a man that "claims" he loves and cares for you. I use the word "claims" because its not a fact yet until time tells....right? "Innocent until proven guilty" does not work too well in this situation huh? Your girls'/friends' love for you is a fact because it has been tested and proven overtime. I know how exciting and mind blowing we ladies could get when we meet a new guy especially when he says/does all the right things that we want to hear/see, but please do NOT get carried away and neglect your friends...the person(s) that have genuinely been there for you from the get go with nothing to gain but all the love in the world to give. In all fairness, your man (new or old) needs attention....lots and lots of it...considering men are like babies...LOL..just kidding...ok but they really do love attention! (Guys you know this is true). So ladies please give that man some of your time but make sure he is not taking that which belongs to your friends'. Someone may be asking.."How do I do this?" Well, that is where the term "Balance" comes in! Balance in this context simply means being able to love and care for your significant order while still maintaining a healthy "give and take" relationship with your friend(s)/girl(s)! Another person might be saying..."But I can't do this because Joe wants me to give him my 100%"...What??? Well, Joe can go shoot himself....LOL..just kidding! No, but you need to tell Joe that he can only have his own 100% and nobody else's. Explain to him that you were friends with XYZ before he ever met you, and that is the way the cookie crumbles. Tell Joe you don't want to control your relationship, but you would LOVE to control your life! And in the same token you certainly don't want him to control your relationship with your friend(s). Don't forget to tell him that you need some balance in your life to stay healthy so giving him all your life means sinking down on another aspect of your life which equals to unhealthy! After you have told Joe all these, if he truely loves you, he will let you to have a balanced life...but if he doesn't? he is a _____ man...you do the math! I say so because trust me, Joe has a life..a good one too! So in a nut shell I am reinforcing a famous biblical quote which says..."Give what belongs to Ceasar to Ceasar, and give what belongs to God to God". In other wards...play a fair game. Do not neglect either parties. Show everyone some love because they all matter in their own little ways. Do not forget that your man/boyfriend/husband can only bear one of these titles..but can never be a girlfriend/homie/right hand chic..and the list goes on. You can NEVER substitute the role of a girlfriend with that of your man..trust me it could only get ugly..LOL. A good example...answer this question: can you tell your man that you think some dude that just walked by is really cute and you like his strong arms? LOL.. ehmmm...I hope your answers are NO! if not...we might need to talk! My point exactly. Now I know some of you will be asking..."Is it okay to still keep old male friends or vice versa?" Hey! I can't advise you on that one. Its all subjective....please discuss that with your partners!
Guys I know some of you can relate to this so feel free to use/forward to your male friends accordingly. I focused on the women because it is more prevalent in that population.
Enjoy your relationships ladies and remember to stay BaLaNcEd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comments, thoughts, ideas, arguments, and questions will be deeply appreciated.
Ciao for now!

Give it!
Good morning all.
Okay so I know we are in a recession and there is nothing we can do to change it, at least for now. Everyone is trying to save as much as they can. Charity donations have diminished tremendously, the voluntary workers' population have been slashed in half, used to be generous people are no longer generous, and the list goes on... But do you know there is something that costs zero dollars that you could still give generously and never run out? Yea..there really is! It is called a SMILE! Everyone has it to infinity...unless they get botoxed up..LOL. Each eye contact should be accompanied with a smile, its easy, it takes no time, it means a lot to people, and u can do it!! Try to smile at most or all the people you make eye contacts with today and see how you and those people feel. Statistics has shown that the smallest smile could make a person feel twice as good as they did before they were smiled at. Interesting huh? And yea...a Smile could save a life, seriously it really can, it has done so in the past!
What do you do when you are on the elevator? Do you smile or stand and look mean? What do you do when you walk past a person? Do you smile or just walk past? What do you do when you are standing in a queue? Do you smile or act like there is no one else there? What do you do at your place of work? Do you smile at your colleagues or just walk to your desk? What do you do when you make eye contact at the gym? Do you smile or look away? A smile costs zero dollars, zero pounds, zero naira, zero yuan, zero sterling, zero euros and so on.. so there is no need to save it.
If you see someone without a smile, kindly give them one of yours!
